Engineering firm first to locate on McNerney Road

This article and photo ran in the Commercial Advantage, November, 1995 The engineering firm of Camp & Teal is the first company to select a building site and to begin construction on the newly opened McNerney Road in the Wales Road Business Community developed by McNerney & Son in Northwood. This new project leads the way for development of the 18 parcel third phase created when the new road was opened early last spring. McNerney & Son serves as the general contractor for the new 4800 square foot building. Mel Camp and Chris Teal, the firm's partners, have worked together for over 30 years and formed the partnership in 1988. Currently, their firm is housed in leased space in McNerney's WRBC. "We have outgrown our space and we felt it was time to own our own building. This has been a. great location for us with its easy access to the expressway and the Ohio Turnpike. We enjoy doing business with Jim and John McNerney and wanted to stay in this location. When the site became available, it made sense for us to undertake this project," Camp said. The company anticipates construction completion in mid November. "Eight employees will relocate to the new facility and we plan to add more this year. Our computer center has been designed to accommodate up to 12 people," Teal added. The mechanical engineering firm designs and supervises the installation of machines for industry and also serves as an engineering consultant for their many clients which include Libbey Owens Ford, Mercedes Benz, and others throughout the midwest. "Our client base is primarily located in the greater Toledo and Detroit area but we have worked on projects all over the world," Camp related.
